Irati Formation is the name of a geological formation of Brazil. It has previously been dated as Upper Permian using palynomorphs but is now dated as Lower Permian using zircon ages obtained from bentonite layers.〔(Santos (2006) Shrimp U–Pb zircon dating and palynology of bentonitic layers from the Permian Irati Formation, Paraná Basin, Brazil )〕 Exposures of the Irati Formation are to be found in the South (Geopark of Paleorrota), southeastern Brazil and in the states of Goiás and Mato Grosso do Sul. The formation is particularly famous for its mesosaur occurrences.〔http://www.webcitation.org/query?url=http://www.geocities.com/arturpermiano/perira.html&date=2009-10-25+12:40:59 Irati〕〔http://jasper.rc.unesp.br/corumbatai/vd/cp07/7.4.htm〕 It is considered time equivalent to the Whitehill Formation of the Ecca Group of the Karoo Supergroup of southern Africa and the Mangrullo Formation of Uruguay. ==See also== * Paleorrota * List of dinosaur-bearing rock formations 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Irati Formation」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
